The Haryana government has announced an electric vehicle policy and has made a dozen programmes operational.
According to Anand Mohan, the Additional chief secretary of industries and commerce department said that to promote the manufacturing of electric vehicles and their components in the state is the main aim of this policy.
As per him, the creation of this legislation will boost research and development in the area of electric vehicles.
Moreover for the strengthening of the infrastructure, provisions have been created in the policy to lower down the upfront cost of electric vehicles.
This will also provide incentives for hybrid electric vehicle customers.
According to Sharan, the department of industries and commerce has announced the Haryana Electric-Vehicle Policy 2022. Twelve schemes have been formed in accordance with this guideline and are currently active on the website.
Additionally, he said that the policy’s 12 live programmes, which include the Purchase Incentive for Buyers Program, the Charging and Battery Swapping Station Program, the Net SGST Reimbursement Program, the Capital Incentive Program, the Employment Generation Incentive Program, the Electricity Duty Exemption Program, the Stamp Duty Reimbursement Program, the R and D Incentive Program, the Water Treatment Incentive Program, the Human Capacity Building Excellence Center of Excellence Program, see and conversion fund scheme and patent free reimbursement scheme.
From the date the portal has been made live, all the eligible buyers may visit the website, check the details and may apply for the incentives within the 45 days from the day the site is created.
