Tata Motors, an auto major has bagged an order for 1000 buses from the Haryana Roadways
According to the contract, the company will gradually provide 52-seater BS-VI diesel buses. The company stated in a regulatory filing that the government tender process was used to conduct the electronic bidding process.
Navdeep Singh Virk, Principal Secretary to the Government of Haryana, stated, “We are glad to confirm the order of 1000 buses to Tata Motors.” The sophisticated and cost-effective BS-VI buses will benefit all stakeholders and deliver unparalleled comfort to passengers.
He also added that the introduction of the new buses will help to improve interstate public transportation, allowing for a smooth journey across the state of Haryana.
According to Rohit Srivastava, Vice President, Product Line – Buses, Tata Motors, the delivery of these buses would strengthen our collaboration with the state government of Haryana and help in providing contemporary public transportation to the state’s citizens.
